The Plastic and Hand Surgery Department at the University Medical Center Freiburg offers patients surgical procedures to improve their appearance.
Within the scope of the service package uniklinik plus and also for private consultation, a broad spectrum of plastic surgical procedures are performed by experienced surgeons. These includes face lifts, rhinoplasty, corrections of the eyelids and ears, breast surgery, liposuction, surgical skin tightening and treatment of fine lines and winkles.
Rhinoplasty and Chin Augmentation
The nose and chin are of decisive importance for the harmonic appearance of the human face and profile. We will gladly
consult with you regarding surgical correction of the shape of the nose or chin.

Eyelid Surgery
Eyelid corrections are generally conducted with a local anaesthetic. It is necessary to choose the appropriate surgical procedure for each individual. Surgery on the lower eyelids is conducted through the conjunctival sac without an external cut.

Otoplasty (Ear Reshaping)
Reshaping of the ears usually comprises of correction of protruding ears and reduction of size of large ears.

Facelifts
For a lasting treatment to remove signs of aging from the face and neck, we perform endoscopic facelifts.

Treatment of Fine Lines and Winkles
Fine lines and winkles in particular within the areas of the forehead and the eyes (the so-called scorn folds and crow’s feet) can be improved by Botox injections. The injections, however, need to be repeated every few months. In other regions of the face, such as the lips, a reduction of folds can be achieved by injecting autologous fat from other areas of the body. The treatment of fine lines and winkles with hyaluronic acid is also offered.

Abdominoplasty (Abdominal Wall Tightening)
Excessively loose or sagging abdomen after weight loss or pregnancy is often resistant to diet and exercise. Tightening of the abdominal wall (tummy tuck) represents a good surgical procedure to improve the appearance of the abdomen.

Liposuction
Persistent fat deposits that are resistant to both diet and exercise commonly affect men and women. Using a directed and sparing ultrasonic suction of the hypodermic fat, these fat deposits can be improved or resolved.

Tightening of the Upper Thigh (Saddle-Bags)
If there is not only an excess of fat but also extensive atony of the skin, a tightening of the skin of the upper
thigh may be necessary.

Costs
The current price list (IGeL-Prices, price for individual treatment) is available in the Plastic Surgery Outpatient Clinic and are based on the GOÄ (German scale of fees for doctors). It may be more economical to obtain these services as private treatments.
